Description
Signed and certified as flown thirty-four times by Gordon!
Apollo 12 Flown CSM Systems Data Book Originally from the Personal Collection of Mission Command Module Pilot Richard Gordon, Signed and Certified, with Signed COA. An 8.5" x 10.5" (approximately 0.875" thick) book containing numerous multi-page pull-out schematics and diagrams, bound with three binder rings between two heavyweight covers. The front cover lists the part number as "SKB32100081-340" and the serial number as "1001". Gordon has signed on the front cover: "Richard Gordon/ Apollo 12 CMP/ Flight flown/ 11/14/69 - 11/24/69". He has also signed numerous internal pages (see below). There are thirty-four tabbed sections organizing the huge amount of technical data contained therein. Desirable and seldom-offered. Very fine condition. From the Steven R. Belasco Collection of Space Memorabilia. As mentioned, Gordon has signed on the cover. He has also signed on every internal page or pull-out chart (except one): "Flown to the moon on Apollo 12/ Richard Gordon CMP". He inadvertently missed signing on the "CB Function Pnl 226" single page (these pages tend to stick together). Nearly every single page of this flown book could be displayed separately with the CMP-written certification as having flown to the moon. Rarely offered in this form.
Included with this lot is a signed Certificate of Authenticity stating: "This Apollo 12 CMS Systems Data Checklist, Part Number SKB 32100081-340 S/N 1001, has 38 pages and was carried on board the Apollo 12 Command Module Yankee Clipper. It was flown to the Moon during the second Moon landing mission on November 1969. As CMP for Apollo 12, it was intended for my use during the flight. This checklist has remained in my personal collection since 1969."
