Colt Model 1851 Navy Percussion Revolver.
Serial no. 160670, .36 caliber and 7 7/16-inch octagonal barrel with brass button front sight and New York address with dashes. Brass guard and straps. Varnished walnut grips. Matching numbers throughout except for rammer which has a 7 with balance obscured by an old repair. Serial number observed on cylinder,cylinder arbor, wedge, barrel, frame, guard and butt.

Condition: Very good. Metal a mostly smooth, polished gray finish. Barrel appears to have been shortened. Scattered staining, fine pitting and old repair to rammer. Visible cylinder scene. One frame screw with heavy tool marks. Frame smooth gray finish with some very fine pitting. Grips fine retaining nearly all of an old re-varnish. Left panel slightly proud to metal. Action good. Bore good with moderate pitting throughout.
