U.S. Harper's Ferry 1824 Flintlock Rifle.

Unserialized, .69 caliber, 42-inch barrel with fixed front sight. P M / LH 1827 stamped to left side of barrel. Lock marked: HARPERS / FERRY / 1824 and (eagle) / US. Smooth hardwood stock with three barrel bands and two sling swivels. Metal ramrod, triggerguard and buttplate.

Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a mottled grey patina with scattered handling wear and patches of pitting. Dings and scuffs present to wood. Action good. Pitted bore. From the Collection of Dr. Phillip R. Rutherford
