Colt Model 1860 Army Percussion Revolver.

Serial no. 147478 [barrel, frame, triggerguard, cylinder and butt, 7478 on wedge], .44 caliber, 8-inch round barrel with fixed front sight. Top of barrel two-line reads -ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA-. Blued finish. COLTS / PATENT stamped to left side of frame. 44 CAL marking to left side of triggerguard near frame. Three screw civilian model, cut for shoulder stock. Brass triggerguard and frontstrap. Steel backstrap. Varnished grips. Manufactured in 1863.

Condition: Very good. Retains 20-30% bluing finish with balance turned dark. Faint traces of case colors turned a nice dark grey. Nice bright patina to brass frontstrap and triggerguard. Steel backstrap. Grips very good with minor scratches and bruising, Marred screws. Action good. Bore very good. From the Collection of Oran B. Jolley.
