Description
U.S. B. Evans Full-Stock Philadelphia Flintlock Rifle.Unserialized, .69 caliber, 41-inch barrel with fixed front sight. F, P and US stamped to left side of barrel. Lock marked: B. EVANS / PHILA. Smooth hardwood straight stock with three barrel bands and two sling swivels.
JTB stamped to right side of stock. Metal ramrod, triggerguard and buttplate.
Condition: Good. finish primarily a dark grey patina with areas of handling wear and pitting. B. EVANS / PHILA is a double stamp on lock. Noticeable scuffs, dings and bruises present to wood. Action good. Pitted bore. From the Collection of Dr. Phillip R. Rutherford
