Description
U.S. Colt Model 1851 Navy Single Action Percussion Revolver.Serial no. 64810 [frame, triggerguard and butt] and 145581 [barrel], .36 caliber, 7 1/2-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Top of barrel marked: ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA. Left side of frame marked: COLTS / PATENT / U.S. Brass gripstraps inspector marked A & S. Smooth walnut one-piece grip.
Condition: Good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with noticeable signs of handling wear, age and patches of pitting. Scuffs and dings present to wood. Action good. Pitted bore.
