Description
Confederate States: North Carolina Reunion Battle Flag.37 1/2" x 36 1/2" cotton battle flag in the St. Andrew's Cross pattern ("Stars & Bars"), emblazoned with the names of battles: Mechanicsville, Hanover, Mannassas [sic], Cedar Run, Cold Harbor, Fraziers Farm, Ox Hill and Harper's Ferry. Two whipped grommets. Combination of hand and machine stitching. Heavily soiled with five small holes and fraying to the right (fly) end. The use of machine stitching and the seam construction are evidence of a post-war origin, likely issued in conjunction with an early reunion.
