Merwin, Hulbert & Company Pocket Army Single Action Revolver.
Serial no. 3003 on Bird's-head [with assembly numbers 2734 markings on left side under grips, back of cylinder and barrel lug], 3 1/4-inch barrel, .44-40 caliber. Nickel-plated finish with hard rubber Bird's-head grips. Case-hardened hammer and triggerguard. Right side of frame marked MERWIN, HULBERT & CO. N.Y. / POCKET ARMY. Right side CALIBRE 1873 / WINCHESTER. Standard Hopkins & Allen address with patent dates to left of barrel. Condition: Fine to excellent. Retaining approximately 90-92% mellow finish with the balance flaking and scattered pitting. Fine scratches throughout. Faint tracking line present. Case colors on hammer and triggerguard visible at 20-25%. Most losses to finish appear on cylinder and barrel. Grips excellent. A few marred screws. Action good. Bore excellent.
