Description
Godin Brevete Double Barrel Percussion Shotgun.Serial no. 115, 20 gauge, 26 3/4-inch damascus barrels with fixed front and rear sights. Elaborately floral and game scene engraved receiver, locks, hammers, triggerguard and upper tang. Floral carved walnut stock and checkered splinter fore-end. Dual Triggers. Sling swivels. Metal buttplate. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 6889 / MEMORIAL.
Sold to Benefit The JM Davis Collection at the JM Davis Arms and Historical Museum.
Condition: Very good to fine. Overall showing normal handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Heavy scuffs and scratches to wood. Noticeable ding and wood loss to right side of fore-end. Action good. Strong bores.
