Description
U.S. Model 1860 Cavalry Sword by Ames, Dated 1862.34 1/2-inch slightly curved blade with the Ames company information on the reverse ricasso and "US / JH / 1862" on the reverse. Gilded-brass hilt; wire-wrapped leather grips. Metal scabbard with two carrying rings.
Condition: Good. Blade with a smooth dark patina; brass hilt dark; scabbard with uniform light surface rust.
