17th Century Italian Flintlock Pistol Signed Lazari Cominaz.
.45 caliber, 13 5/8-inch round, grooved barrel marked: LAZARI COMINAZ. Stock is highly figured, pin fastened, relief carved, European walnut decorated with pierced and engraved steel inlays. The inlays are located at the muzzle, the sides of the forestock, sideplate, tang and butt. The pierced inlays feature floral sprays. The hammer, lock plate, pan, frizzen, trigger guard and butt cap feature the chiseled steel embellishments that the Brescian gunsmiths were famous for. The pistol has a pierced trigger and metal tipped ramrod.

Condition: Good. The metal surfaces display an even gray patina with a few areas of minor pitting on the barrel. Functioning action but the spring is weak. The stock displays a few inlayed repairs at the trigger guard and forestock.
