Description
Josh Golcher Over & Under Percussion Rifle.Unserialized, .38 caliber, 29 1/2-inch barrels with fixed front sight and rear elevation sight. Top of barrel marked: G.W. BURNES / G.W. BURNES. Dual trigger. Scroll and game scene engraved lock marked: JOSH GOLCHER. Smooth stock with brass hinged patchbox and fowl inlay on cheekrest. Brass triggerguard and crescent buttplate.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a mottled dark grey patina with scattered wear and pitting. Elevator for rear sight absent. Wood showing scuffs and dings. Minor wood loss around lock. Noticeable chip to right side of stock just above lock. Action needs adjustment.
