Description
Engraved German Baader & Sohn Percussion Double Barrel Shotgun.Unserialized, 12 gauge, 28 3/4-inch barrel with fixed front bead sight. Blued finish. Horn underlever action. Elaborately scroll and game scene engraved receiver, hammers, lockplates and triggerguard. (crown) / P / I to upper tang, accented in gilt. Scroll carved walnut straight stock with cheekrest. Checkered splinter fore-end. Sling swivels. Metal buttplate.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with scattered areas of handling wear, age and fine patches of pitting. Noticeable scuffs, dings and bruising present to wood. Action good. Lightly pitted bores.
