Description

Excellent Copy of a 15th Century Italian Close Helmet.
A well-made example, possibly made during the late-Victorian era. Approximately 15-inches tall. The helmet is hinged at the center to allow the front and rear halves to open and thus provide access for the wearer to place it on his head. The only markings present are a stamped "17" on the underside edge of each half. An excellent display piece and much more substantial and better made than more recent reproductions.

Condition: Very good. With a smooth brown patina, possibly some enhanced aging. Displays a few shallow dents and dings.
