Description

Millard Fillmore: Oversized Electoral Ticket on Linen. Designed like a ballot, this 10" x 18" cotton broadside is titled: "National American Fillmore and Donelson Ticket". It obviously was not meant to be cast at the polling place, but displayed for potential Fillmore voters to see and familiarize themselves with the names of the electors. Once fairly common, they appear with less and less frequency and remain a highly affordable display piece for the Know-Nothing candidate. This example is in mint condition. It was issued in Pennsylvania. Examples are also known for Lincoln and Breckinridge.
