Description

Winfield S. Hancock: Clothing "Name" Brush. Campaign brushes were popular in the 1832-1840, dropped out of sight, only to reappear in 1880. This is actually the first example we have seen for Hancock. It is 7 1/2" long, 1 3/4" wide and 1 3/4" tall. It has a velvet-covered wooden handle. The name "Hancock" appears in white bristles against a background of brown bristles. This is viewable when the brush is turned over. The condition is excellent.
