Abraham Lincoln and Ulysses S. Grant: Sartain Engravings. Includes a very striking 9 1/2" x 12" interim process ink saturation proof of Lincoln, prior to background being etched away (pencil notations at bottom), a 12" x 16 1/2" portrait titled "Abraham Lincoln." (one border tear, scattered foxing and creased corners, not affecting portrait) and a 27" x 21" Proof signed by William Sartain of Grant and his Family (affixed to larger sheet, scattered foxing and some tears, worthy of restoration).Auction Info
