Bronze Medallion Commemorating President Lyndon Johnson's Asian-Pacific Visit, 1966, Benefiting Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. The obverse features a high-relief bust of President Johnson with his signature to the left, surrounded by 50 stars around edge of medallion. The reverse has, "To continue the search for peace, on every front, however long the road....Lyndon B. Johnson" in the center, surrounded by "On the Occasion of the Asian-Pacific Visit, dated October-November, 1966" ON THE OCCASION OF THE ASIAN-PACIFIC VISIT OCTOBER-NOVEMBER, 1966", with "PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" around edge and the presidential seal at the bottom. The medal is 2.75-inches in diameter and was designed by Ralph J. Menconi who had the nickname "Sculptor of Presidents." The rim is marked, "Medallic Art Co. N.Y.". This lot will be accompanied by a letter of authenticity signed by Lynda Johnson Robb.

A full 100% of the net proceeds will benefit the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center at the University of Texas at Austin, in honor of the 2012 Centennial of Lady Bird Johnson's birth.
