Description

Franklin D. Roosevelt: Personal Tobacco Humidor. FDR owned and used this "Oregon Myrtlewood" humidor. It is 5.5" tall with a 4.75" diameter. It still retains a quantity of loose tobacco and a half-filled bag of "United States Tobacco Company's Old Briar Pipe Mixture Mild and Aromatic." It was lot #59 in the 1951 sale of "Miscellaneous Objects Belonging to the late President Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt" at New York's Hammer Galleries.
