Al Smith: "Give Us Another Lincoln" Picture Pin. When Wilson ran for President, they published a song titled "I Think We've Got Another Washington and Wilson is his Name!" Perhaps taking that as their cue, a button designer in 1928 made this 7/8" sepia, real photo button that pictures Al Smith and declares: "For President. Give Us Another Lincoln". The portrait of Smith is a youthful one and the possibility exists that the button is a hopeful item from 1924 when the Democratic National Convention was held in New York City. The button is in great condition and it would be no understatement to call it a great rarity.Auction Info
