Al Smith: Rare New York Issue Picture Pin. We offer another great Smith. This one measures 1 3/4", has a smiling portrait of "Alfred E. Smith" and is inscribed "Our Governor Next President". It is generally considered a 1928 pin, although the possibility exists that it was issued as a hopeful item in 1924 when the Democratic National Convention was held in New York City. This example is in mint condition and unusual to find so. Most examples have dings, stains and gouges. This is, like Al's cigar, "el perfecto!"Auction Info
