Thomas Jefferson: Superlative Liverpool Jug. There are various designs of Jefferson Liverpool ware to choose from, if and when they come on the market, which is rarely. In our opinion, this particular transfer is the best of the lot. It is large, well done and easily recognizable as Jefferson. Our third President appears on one side of this 8" Liverpool pitcher, surrounded by a floral design, stars and the names of the states. It is inscribed "Thomas Jefferson, President of the United States of America." The reverse has a boiler-plate English bucolic or pastoral scene. This is a very clean example. Outside of a restored spout, it appears to be in excellent condition.Auction Info
