An interesting copy with a number of associations to Clare Boothe Luce. Mounted to the front-free endpaper are inscriptions by Maria Davenport, the author, and Ephram Zimbalist, a noted violinist to Ann. Luce's bookplate with her last name as "Brokaw" ( her first husband's last name) is mounted to the front pastedown. Her "Ex-libris Clare Boothe Luce" is embossed at the upper right corner of the half-title page. Finally, mounted to the rear pastedown is an inscription by noted soprano Alma Gluck Zimbalist.
