F.R.S. Oxford: At the Clarendon Press, 1798. The second edition. Two octavo volumes. xxv, 494; 650 pages. Engraved portrait of Thomas Tyrwhitt used as the frontispiece in volume one. Later 19th Century leather bindings lettered and decorated in gilt. All edges gilt. Marbled endpapers. Some soiling and scuffing to boards; spines a bit dark; joints a bit worn; otherwise internally nice and in very good condition. From the collection of Judith Adelman.
