Wallase Ting. 1 Cent Life. Bern: E. W. Kornfield, 1964.First edition, one of 2,000 numbered copies, this being number 1,452. Folio. [174] loose pages (on folded sheets), as issued. With sixty-two full-color lithographs.
Pages housed in publisher's multi-color cloth, with dust jacket. Jacket headcap has short creased tear, some rubbing to edges and corners, else fine. Housed in publisher's green cloth (lightly worn) slipcase.
This magnificent work is a collection of Ting's erotic poetry, each poem accompanied with beautiful artwork by some of the greatest artists of the pop art or abstract expressionism fields: Karel Appel, Jim Dine, Robert Indiana, Alfred Leslie, Roy Lichtenstein, Joan Mitchell, Claes Oldenburg, Mel Ramos, Jean Paul Riopelle, Andy Warhol, and others.
