Disbound. Slight staining and tearing to title page. Final three leaves missing, here replaced with facsimile pages. Scattered foxing. Overall, a very good copy.

Theophilus Parsons was an influential Massachusetts Federalist. This manifesto (often referred to as the Essex Result) was instrumental in defeating the proposed Massachusetts Constitution of 1778. Parsons was one of the committee members who drafted the Massachusetts Constitution of 1780, many elements from which were later replicated in the United States Constitution.
