James Madison Document Signed as president. One partly-printed vellum page, 12" x 15", Washington, September 11, 1815, appointing James Price "a Captain for the War." With a blind-embossed paper seal in the lower left corner. All handwritten text, including the president's signature has slightly faded. Moderate mat-burn exists around the extreme edges.
