Description

John Quincy Adams Land Grant Signed "J. Q. Adams" as president. One page, partially printed on vellum, 14" x 9.25", Washington, D. C., May 22, 1826, granting "Richard Williams...One Hundred and Sixty Acres of the Lands directed to be sold at Vincennes Indiana by the Acts of Congress." Blind embossed paper seal of the Land Grant Office attached. Countersigned by George Graham as commissioner of the General Land Office. Paper loss on top and bottom edge, obscuring part of the signature of Graham, with isolated staining at the bottom. Adams' signature is unaffected. Lightly toned margins. Folds. Good.
