12 Gauge Winchester Model 21 Trap Model Double Barrel Shotgun.Serial no. 7939. 12 gauge. 32-inch barrel with a matted ventilated rib. Blued side panel boxlock action with matted top. Matted top lever. Ejectors. Blued single selective trigger. Finely checkered pistolgrip stock of highly figured walnut. Flat grip knob. Deluxe style checkering with checkered panels at head of stock. Maker's red rubber recoil pad. 11-inch beavertail fore-end with kidney pattern checkering with the newer style release. Data: Barrel Dimensions: Bores: 0.736/0.740 inches. Chambers: 2 3/4 inches Chokes: 0.036/0.039 inches (Full). Proof: Winchester proof. Minimum Wall Thickness: 0.014 inches. (Note: Thin section is at the area of the dent repair. Thin section is a small area. - Caution gun is deemed unsafe to fire due to thin barrel wall.) Stock Dimensions: Pull: 14 1/4 inches Drop at comb: 1 5/8 inches Drop at heel: 2 1/8 inches Cast: none. Weight: 7 pounds, 15 ounces. Condition: Excellent, as redone. Barrels show 94-96% reblued finish with losses at the front of the fore-end and covered by the fore-end. Barrels show surface unevenness from rebluing. Left barrel shows a repaired dent at mid-point, also visible from bore. Note: see Data section. Excellent bright bore. Action and triggerguard shows 99% reblued finish. Stock shows a recoated finish with a number of marks and very light impressions. 1/2 inch chip in finish. Two long nonstructural shrinkage cracks near the butt.
