Description
Scarce Colt Officer's Model Target Revolver with Heavy Barrel. Serial no. 579550, .38 caliber, 5 7/8-inch heavy barrel with target sights. Blued and case-hardened finish. Custom hardwood target grips. Left side of barrel marked: COLT .38 OFFICERS MODEL/HEAVY BARREL. This example manufactured c1935. According to Wilson, The Book of Colt Firearms (pg 354) this model with heavy barrel is considered scarce.Condition: Very good to fine. Retaining approximately 80-90% original finish, thinning at muzzle and relief edges. Scattered fine scratches and handling wear. Tracking line to cylinder. Bore is excellent. Action is smooth.
