Description
Confederate Dog River Cavalry Saber. Unmarked Southern-made weapon, 41" overall length, 35.5" blade, brass hilt and pommel, wooden grip wrapped in brown leather and secured by iron or steel wire. Iron scabbard with two brass ring mounts. Brass elements all show file marks left over from manufacture. Nice toning and patina throughout with smooth surfaces on the blade. The scabbard has light pitting and a couple of small splits.Auction Info
