War of 1812 Secretary of War John Armstrong Orders 200 Harper's Ferry Muskets On verso of a request for "proper musket ." Armstrong writes on May 26, 1813: "Sir : You will direct the keeper of military stores here to deliver to Major Lee of the 36th reg't. Two hundred of the New Harper's Ferry Arms on his receit on account of said reg't." 7.75" x 4.5, fine condition with one old tape repair on verso. An appealing subject. From the Henry E.
