Pair of Abraham Lincoln Gettysburg Address Bookends. These heavy cast (4.5 pounds each) bookends feature an eagle perched atop a plaque with a 1909 Lincoln cent and the entire text of Lincoln's famous speech. Beneath on one is Lincoln's log cabin birthplace in Hodgenville, Kentucky and on the other is the U.S. Capitol in Washington symbolizing his rise from humble beginnings to the highest office in the land. 4.5" x 6.5" tall x 3.25" deep with felt-covered backs and bottoms. Excellent condition and very possibly from the 1909 Lincoln Centennial period.
