Frank Leslie's Pictorial History of the American War, Volume One. This 400 page volume measuring 16.5" x 23" is an expansive view of the Civil War in its early stages. There are dozens of beautiful engravings of President Lincoln, his cabinet, and of the early battles of the war in 1861 and early 1862. One bonus is a fold-out 49" x 23" engraving of Farragut's assault at Fort Jackson on the Mississippi. In good condition with very slight foxing on the interior pages, this is a bargain for just the engravings alone.Auction Info
