Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle First Year of Production. Serial no. 822, .38-55 caliber, 26-inch octagonal barrel with dovetailed steel base/nickel silver inlet blade front sight. Standard rear sight with serrated edges. Plain sight elevator without thumbpiece. Upper tang with patent date. Hammer checkering enclosed in decorative border. Walnut stock with crescent steel buttplate.

Condition: Good. All metal surfaces with gray-brown patina and scattered patches of fine pitting. Small rust deposits at muzzle and on top of frame. Nick on top barrel flat behind front sight. Top screw in upper tang a possible replacement. Action functions. Wood with light wear to forearm and heavy wear to buttstock suggesting time spent in a scabbard. Sliver chip on wrist at upper tang.
