    Description
Revolutionary War "Grass Hopper" Cannon Carriage, Circa 1750 A rare Revolutionary War "grass hopper" carriage with a twin trailer. Completely original, the iron mounted wheels and spokes and iron hubs are all intact, which is quite rare. This carriage would have help a small 6 pound battlefield cannon. Interestingly, carriages are much rarer than cannons. Only a few have survived both the extremities of war and time.Provenance: The Crow Art Partnership Collection (Dallas, Texas)
