Description
L. Gordon Cooper Jr. (1927-2004) Color Photo Signed "Best wishes to Buzzy/ Gordon Cooper". One of the original "Mercury Seven" astronauts chosen by NASA. Cooper flew Faith 7, the last mission of the Mercury program in 1963, and was command pilot of Gemini 5 in 1965. He was the first astronaut to make a second orbital flight, and he later served as backup command pilot for Gemini 12. He retired from NASA in 1970.
