Near Perfect Canteen with Attractive "Shoddy" Covering. The appealing cover of this New York Depot smooth-sided canteen shows the mix of colors found in the reconstituted woolen mix known as "shoddy," with some blue, whit,e and red fibers mixing with the overall gray yarn. The cover is in excellent condition with only the most minor wear. The strap, stopper and iron attachment chain are likewise almost mint. A classic canteen that would be hard to match.Auction Info
