Description

Pristine and Elegant Major General's Shoulder Straps. With treble rich borders and near perfect condition, these rare Civil War era shoulder straps for a Major General would be difficult to surpass. The straps measure a substantial 2" wide by almost 4¾" long and appear practically untouched. The tops each contain two silver stars measuring ¾" from tip to tip, embroidered on a perfect black velvet background and surrounded by one wide and two narrow rows of gold embroidery, all surrounded by a spun wire border. The brown polished cotton underside is likewise near perfect. A near impossible rank to find in any condition, this pair would be a stunning addition to any insignia collection.
