Ça 600-1500 AD

2" High x 3 ¾" Wide
Geometric patterns and flying zoomorphs form a very pleasing visual combination in this pair of gold earrings. A spider monkey lands at each end of the crescent. From the central point of the crescent a stepped geometric pattern encloses scrolls which echo the curves on the monkeys' tails. The earrings are perforated at the top center of each crescent. 29 grams, the pair.
