Description
Colt U.S. Army Model 1917 Double Action Revolver. Cal. .45. Serial Number 224270. 5½" Barrel. Smooth, mostly gray metal with little of the original finish remaining. Original grips replaced with plastic grips simulating stag. Colt rampant pony marked on left side of the frame. "Colt D.A. 45" marked on the left side of the barrel and "United States Property" marked on the underside of the barrel with additional military inspector's proofs on the frame. Lanyard ring screw hole has been filled in with lead. Strong action and excellent bore.Auction Info
