Description
Vintage J. P. Sauer & Son Double-Barrel Shotgun. 12 gauge. Serial number 161657. 30" Krupp steel barrels with a slightly tapered concave matte rib. The overall weight is about 7½ pounds with an overall length of 45¼", a 14" LOP to the 1" recoil pad, 1¾" DAC, 3" DAH. The lock, breech, tang, and trigger guard are ornately decorated with floral scrolls and elaborate borders. The finely figured European walnut stock and fore end are intricately checkered. The barrels are have a pleasing brown patina and display wear from honest use. The stock is in excellent condition. A handsome shotgun in very good condition.Auction Info
