J. P. Sauer & Sons Pre-War Custom Mauser Action Rifle. Cal.8.8mm. Serial number 150582. 21" Krupp Fluid Steel barrel with matte rib. Deep, polished blue finish; checkered European walnut; small silver escutcheon inlaid on underside of butt. Set trigger. Machine-jeweled bolt. Lyman adjustable rear sight. A beautiful rifle displaying all the quality, in fit and finish, that one would expect of a German weapon of the period. With an excellent bore and showing little use. Careful examination leads us to believe the gun has been carefully and artfully refinished.Auction Info
