Description
Beautifully Made Period Beligian Copy of a Smith & Wesson Model 3 Russian SA Revolver. Caliber .44 S & W Russian. Original length barrel is 7 7/8" and carries the correct Smith & Wesson roll. The only other marking on the gun is a Belgian proof mark on the back of the cylinder, along with the chamber numbers, and a small star over a T and the right rear of the barrel. The gun retains 50% of the original nickel finish, the balance smooth and gray with just one tiny spot of pitting at the front of the ejector rod housing. Mechanically the gun does not index every time it is cocked, else tight and crisp and locks fine. Excellent markings, good bore that will certainly scour out better. Checkered walnut grips with lanyard ring about perfect, the gun bears no serial number. Very impressive, of a quality commensurate with, and for all intents and purposes, identical to, the Smith & Wesson made gun.Auction Info
