Description

Two Civil War Artillery Projectiles. Group includes: (1) CS 2.94 Archer Bolt, missing the lead ring sabot. The most frequently encountered type, this projectile has three deep grooves on the tapered tail. Nice smooth surface, dark olive patina. (2) British 2.45 inch Britten bolt. The lead cup sabot which covers the round iron base is missing. Traces of the original black paint visible. Light areas of surface rust and minor pitting, found at Antietam, Maryland.
