Description
Gemini 10 Flown MS60 NGC Gold-Colored Fliteline Medallion Originally from the Personal Collection of Mission Commander John Young, with His Signed Letter of Certification. This 25mm medal was flown aboard Gemini 10, July 18-21, 1966, with crewmembers John Young and Michael Collins. The obverse depicts the mission insignia, a large Roman numeral "X" with both Gemini spacecraft and Agena target vehicle orbiting it and two stars, with the crew surnames above and below. The reverse has the flight name and dates engraved in block letters. A nice Uncirculated example.Included with this lot is a signed LOA from Young on his letterhead reading, in full: "I hereby certify that the Gemini 10 gold colored Fliteline Medal which accompanies this letter was flown aboard Gemini 10, July 18-21, 1966. It has been part of my personal collection since the mission."
