Description
Space Shuttle Columbia (STS-3) Flown Flashlight Originally from the Personal Collection of Mission Commander Jack Lousma, Signed and Certified. A heavy, brass-milled two-cell flashlight, 5.125" in length and with a maximum diameter of 1". It has a part number of "ACR PA 5", a serial number of "2034", and a date of manufacture of "2/70" printed on the barrel (much of which is partially hidden by surface flaws). On the barrel is written in silver: "Flown on STS-3/ Jack Lousma". "On" and "Off" are printed near the head and a piece of Velcro is attached at the top near the lens. This is the same type of flashlight that was used during the Apollo era; this one finally flew twelve years after its manufacture date. Rarely offered. Lens clear, discoloration on the barrel as noted above, about fine.Auction Info
