Description
English Flintlock Brass-Barreled Blunderbuss by J&J Pourr. 1 7/16-inch bore. 16-inch brass two-stage barrel with cannon muzzle mounted in a full length walnut stock, secured by two pins and tang screw, molded bands and semi-octagonal breech. "RTT" brass inlaid medallion at top of wrist. Decorative engraving to top of breech. Proof marks to left side of barrel. Lockplate marked: J&J Pourr. Brass furniture with engraved floral and scrolling triggerguard and buttplate. Varnished hardwood ramrod with flared tip. Overall length: Approximately 31 3/4-inches. Weight: Approximately 6 pounds 14 ounces.Condition: Very good. Brass barrel and furniture remain fairly bright with a slightly olive age tone. Wood very good with a few scattered dents and bruises. Minor repair to stock. Action excellent. Very nice example.
