Model 1855 US Springfield .58 Caliber Percussion Pistol Carbine Dated 1855 Both components with matching numbers and are in identical condition. Pistol exhibits smooth untouched patina overall.. Clear crisp barrel proofs with 1855 date, sharp bore. Lock a mix of smooth brown and bright finish with crisp U.S. Springfield Eagle and 1855 date. Mechanically perfect. All brass fittings are in excellent condition with a pleasing mellow color. Pistol stock is excellent with sharp edges a beautiful deep patina and deep well defined inspectors cartouche. Condition of the detachable stock perfectly matches the pistol with excellent wood and brass fittings. Detachable stock brass yoke numbered 3, matching the pistol butt cap. The finest example of a M1855 pistol carbine we've ever cataloged, totally untouched and in superb condition.
