Description
Irish Brigade, 69th Regiment, New York State Volunteers, Civil War ID Disc. The reverse is stamped, "M. H. Moran / Co. K /69th / Reg. /N.Y.S.V. / Milwaulkie [sic], Wis". The obverse has an American eagle with outstretched wings, and "War of 1861" above, and "United States", below. The 1.125" brass disc is holed at 12 o'clock. Crisp.Moran enlisted on September 14, 1861 in Buffalo, New York as a private at the age of 21. In October 1862 Moran left the service at Chickahominy, Virginia.
